Wolf People, England ***Inactive***
News: Wolf People are currently touring Europe supporting their new album, the massively brilliant Ruins, which is one of the best neo psych albums I've ever heard. (last check: Oct 8, 2018)
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
Overview: At the beginning of their career, Wolf People were one of the best of the 1971 styled retro prog acts. With their new album Ruins, Wolf People can stake a claim as the best neo psychedelia band going today.

Good call on these guys. Somehow in the same vein (in case you did not hear about them already, which I doubt) are DeWolff, Siena Root, Trio and Hills.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this wonderful resource. Will come back daily to see what else is there to own.
Cheers,
Eddie
Thanks Eddie for the kind words! I do know all of those bands, but haven't heard DeWolff yet. They're on my to check out list though.
ReplyDeleteBack in October on Rateyourmusic I called Steeple 2010 album of the year. I stand by it - its a gem and I'm excited for the future when bands like Wolf People are around. Also big into Graveyard, Circle, Vibravoid, Diagonal, Astra, Hills, and Electric Moon among about 50 great modern bands.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill, I think you may be right (and I remember seeing someone say that - so that must have been you!). It's certainly in contention!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment!
